Our mission
Banking belongs in business software
Many software companies already serve small businesses incredibly well: helping them send invoices, run payroll, manage inventory, and more. They’re on a mission to become the central hub for managing every aspect of business life.
But when it comes to financial workflows, there’s still a gap. Too many critical tasks like managing cash flow, tracking payments, or reconciling accounts happen outside the software, across spreadsheets, email threads, banking portals.
It’s a missed opportunity. Business software shouldn’t just record financial activity — it should run it.

Job description
We’re looking for an experienced KYC Supervisor to join our fast-growing team. Swan mostly onboards customers who are small and medium-sized companies and self-employed freelancers to open a business account. While we use the generic naming "KYC", it also refers to Know-Your-Business (KYB) processes.
In this role, you'll dedicate approximately 70% of your time to hands-on individual contributions—reviewing alerts, handling edge cases—and 30% to managerial support and coaching, making it ideal for someone who excels in both hands-on tasks and team coaching.
You’ll play a key role in developing a best-in-class team and ensuring our processes remain robust, efficient, and compliant as we grow.
✨ Your mission
Individual Contributions:
- Conduct thorough KYC reviews with a keen eye for detail, ensuring adherence to current laws and regulations.
- Manage and resolve complex cases and edge situations, providing customized solutions that meet compliance standards.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements and changes in compliance regulations, dedicating time each week to professional development in this area.
Managerial Support and Coaching:
- Onboard and train new team members on all facets of the job, including KYC procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory requirements, the use of internal tools and platforms, and best practices for completing high-quality KYC reviews.
- Manage daily operations, ensuring tasks are aligned with team goals and compliance standards, SLAs are maintained, and quality remains high.
- Workforce management: scheduling, approve time-off leave request/manage shift coverage in order to meet SLAs
- Provide operational feedback and partake in regular 1:1 meetings to discuss individual performance and remove roadblocks.
- Continuously identify opportunities for improvement and training, give team members actionable development plans, and deliver small-group training sessions
- Develop and refine team strategies and processes, aiming for optimal efficiency and accuracy in procedures.
- Monitor and report on team performance metrics, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Operational and Strategic Development:
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams, including Product, Engineering, and Risk & Compliance, to streamline and optimize KYC processes.
- Implement and enhance new procedures, maintaining momentum and engagement across various stakeholder groups to ensure scalable, consistent operations.
- Run quality controls.
- Lead, coordinate, and deliver continuous improvement projects to help us meet our SLAs.
Preferred experience
✨ You’re a great match if:
- You have 3 to 5 years of experience in KYC/AML/Financial Security at a fintech, payment institution, bank, or fast-paced start-up/scale-up environment, preferably with at least 1 year of experience as a team supervisor.
- You have a strong understanding of the AML/CFT regulatory framework.
- Excellent coaching skills, with a proven track record of enhancing team productivity and cohesiveness.
- You enjoy streamlining internal processes to improve outcomes and scalability.
- You’re data-driven, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- You know how to prioritize in a fast-paced production environment and can manage urgent cases effectively.
- Proficiency in modern compliance and document management technologies, with a commitment to ongoing technical education.
- You’re proactive, hands-on, and love getting things done.
- Fluent in English and native-level fluency in either French, Italian, German, Dutch, or Spanish.
- Our ideal teammate: Empathetic. Skilled. Frank. We love to challenge each other, and we leave our egos at the door.
It’s okay if you don’t tick all the boxes — don’t let imposter syndrome prevent you from applying! 🙌
